For more information about Mercenaries, including PD2 changes, stats, equipment, etc., see: [[Mercenaries]] </noinclude> __TOC__ = General Information = == Skill Info == * Mercenaries have "Hard Levels" in their skills, so they will gain those effects. * Skills and Auras have minimum level requirements, so mercenaries won't be able to use some skills at lower levels. * Mercenaries will benefit from the following +Skill bonuses: ** +X to All Skills ** +X to Fire/Cold/Lightning/Magic Skills (as applicable to a skill) ** +X to specific skills if they use the skill (e.g. a Barbarian helmet with +3 to Bash for an Act 5 Combat Mercenary) *** Specific skill bonuses will only work if the skill is the exact same skill player characters use (i.e., not a Mercenary-only skill). * Mercenaries will ''not'' benefit from: ** +X to Class Skills (not even Act 5 Barbarians) ** +X to Class Skill Tabs (e.g. +X to Offensive Auras or +X to Combat Skills) * Each time mercenaries attack or use a skill, they choose which skill to use at random based on set probabilities. ** For more information see Below: ([[#Act_1:_Rogue_Scout|Act 1]], [[#Act_2:_Desert_Guard|Act 2]], [[#Act_3:_Iron_Wolf|Act 3]], [[#Act_4:_Ascendant|Act 4]], [[#Act_5:_Barbarian|Act 5]]) ** Passive Skills and Auras are always active, and thus are not listed. == Auras == * Most Mercenaries from all acts now have auras, rather than just Act 2 mercenaries. {{MercAuras}} * Mercenary Auras are always active as long as the level requirement has been met. ** The level requirement for each Mercenary Aura is the same as for the corresponding Paladin Skill. * The difficulty in which a Mercenary is hired no longer affects the Aura the Mercenary has. * Mercenaries' native Auras and Auras [[Skill_Changes#Item-Based_Aura_Skills|granted from their items]] interact the same way as they do on players, meaning mercenaries can have multiple auras from skills and items, but an Aura granted by an item will not stack with an identical native Aura. ** For example, an Act 1 Fire Mercenary's Vigor Aura will not benefit from wearing [[Harmony]] - the skill Aura will override the item Aura. = Act 1: Rogue Scout = * Rogue Scouts have an innate 66% chance to pierce.
